Priceless Incite defines an advocate as a person who acts on behalf of and in support of a person who has been harmed to ensure their interests are represented, they are treated with dignity and their rights are upheld. Advocacy services includes but is not limited to a Priceless Incite staff/volunteer accompany them to a interveiw with law enforcement, a sexual assault nurse exam and/or any other appointment where support is needed.
Immediate response and support to a young person who has been harmed or is in danger of being harmed. This includes but is not limited to interventions with immediate family, school environments, interpersonal relationships and through community partnerships conflict resolution.
Provide Education in the form of workshops, presentations, curriculum instruction
Diamonds are Forever Priceless is a gender based empowerment curriculum that provides a platform to engage the inherited and lived experiences of African American women, girls, LGBTQ+ and Gender NonConforming folks. It provides a platform for information sharing around these very critical realities.
Supportive spaces are created based on the needs of young people. Meeting dates and times accommodate youth and are in response to our socio political environment. They can meet weekly as a way to create opportunities for young people to discuss, think critically and act strategically while navigating their everyday realities.
Resources & Referrals
Priceless Incite provides resource and referral services to youth who are seeking support in the areas of health care, education, child care, housing and other resources that increases their safety and well being.
Diamonds & Pearls Girls Group
A female-bodied group that focuses on the growth and support of young ladies into storytellers, professionals, and creators of their own futures. In this workshop series, we journaled, discussed goals and how we plan for those goals. We also talked a lot about our everyday issues.
Valuable Insight Project
This program successfully created a intergenerational space where youth and all ages could discuss our history as African Americans. With this program, we were appraised by our audience of community members and participant parents. We partnered with the Wake Up Program , led by Alfonso Watkins, to facilitate these spaces with our4 to 6 youth.
